• Osmanthus Black Congou is a Chinese tea specialty, and is popular with its gentle aroma, delicious taste and mild peach flavor notes. Farmers place a layer of osmanthus blooms between the black tea leaves and the delicate scent of osmanthus during its processing. In this way, it lets those blooms aroma to permeate the tea. They also blend most of the osmanthus blooms into the tea to enhance the visual appeal as well as boost the flavor. This Osmanthus Black is an immediately infusion of chocolatey Wuyi Mountain (in Fujian province, China) black tea.  Tropical osmanthus flowers offer amiably fruity profile and sometimes honey-like in such a reminiscent mode. For your info, some data shows that it is a rare sort of ‘herbal’ medicines, which may improve digestion, relieve the body from fatigue and prevent drowsiness. Process for this tea has a similar fashion to Jasmine tea.
• Interestingly, one of our customers names this tea as a “Devil Wood” Tea, which is much Americanized. Some traditional Chinese also use the fresh osmanthus blooms inside their sugar jar to make some floral tasting sugar.
