Jasmine Yin Hao Tea

$12.27

(Item No. B05529-1)

This tea is one of the topmost among the Jasmine tea family, with the exceptional smooth fragrance of a garden in bloom and with light sweet liquor. Contrary to popular belief, the finest sweetest grades contain fewer petals. The world’s finest Jasmines come from the China province of Fujian. Normally, farmers handpick the buds and leaves, then wither and dry them.  They store the finished base leaf-tea until the late summer jasmine begins to bloom. When the jasmine flowers open, the farmers remove the tea from storage and roast it to eliminate any remaining moisture. Then, fresh jasmine blossoms are spread over the dry tea, allowing the tea to soak up the flowers’ moisture and fragrance.

  • This tea is one of the topmost among the Jasmine tea family, with the exceptional smooth fragrance of a garden in bloom and with light sweet liquor. This process yields a tea with a strong and lasting jasmine scent, complemented by a full-bodied base. Although green jasmine teas are widely popular and accessible, none have matched the delightful taste, equilibrium, and aroma of this particular variety. Jasmine Yin Hao is an ideal tea to serve with strong-tasting foods, since it also yields a delicate cup with a heady bouquet of night-blooming Jasmine. Click here for the story…
