Description
- Item No. W55145-1 White Needle Tea (Da Bai Zhen or Bai Hao Yinzhen)
- Commonly known as White Hair Silver Needle or ‘Da Bai Zhen’ in Chinese, this tea is from two counties, FuDing and ZhengHe. They are in Northeastern parts of the Fujian province in China. Amongst white teas, it is the most expensive variety and the most prized and the rarest spectacular within its brewing. Early in the spring, farmers pick individual leaf bud with one leave and carefully handcraft them into this noteworthy tea. Traditionally, they lay the plucks in shallow baskets to wilt under the sun for about 80-90% dry, which is still the best production way now. We would recommend infusing the tea into a glass in order to enjoy the dance of the leaf bud spears and the turning into green.
- It is a great beauty to behold with all white downy hair and fuzzy tea buds. The light brew is a subtle, but buttery with almond flavor and slightly sweet delight. In addition, the tea contents with antioxidants and low in caffeine.
- Brewing tip: 2 teaspoons, 180 °F, 8 minutes.
- Net weight: Option 1: @$40.27 per 8-oz bag; Option 2: @$224.71 per 3-lbs bag. All are packed in foil bag.
