Pai Mu Tan, (White Peony Tea or Bai Mu Dan), is rare tea treasure and falls into white tea category.  Farmers pickle fresh leaves in Spring and then simply air and dry those leaves in natural sunlight. This tea is in very slightly fermentation and undergoes almost no transformation once harvested and merely withered. Their tea leaf is in its natural shape, for it remains just as it was when pluck from the bush-smooth and flowery. It is from the Fujian origin of China and was naturally grown and produced. The tea is very low in caffeine. You can’t go wrong with this exquisite representative of high-mountain tea.

  • While this white tea is also darker and the aroma bolder, the pleasant sweetness clearly identifies its relationship and similarity to our green needle tea.  Processing of the tea is very minimum, with the plucked leaves and buds dried and withered almost immediately after picking. Once steeped, the result is a fine flowery white tea with mild flavor, and subtly sweet and fruit blossom finish.
