(Item No. S05557-1)
This tea is from Wuyi Mountain, in Fujian, China, where is regarded as the ‘birthplace’ of China Oolong tea. Oolong means ‘Black Dragon’ in Chinese. The oolong tea process starts similarly to black tea, but the leaves undergo a much shorter withering period. They are lightly rolled and allowed to oxidize only until the edges begin to brown. The tea is then fired, halting the oxidation process and preserving the distinctive character of oolong tea.

- Item No. S05557-1 Se Chung Oolong
- This tea is from Wuyi Mountain, in Fujian, China, where is regarded as the ‘birthplace’ of China Oolong tea. Se Chung Oolong tea is gentle, embodying the vegetal essence of green teas, yet it is calmer, more rounded, and philosophical in nature. The beautiful, large leaves are dried into forms resembling abstract art, presenting a palette that is both green and brown at the same time. And in addition, a harmonious contradiction continues into the infusion. This tea has its characteristics with a woody astringency and subtle notes of fresh peaches, which define its remarkable aroma and flavor. Se Chung Oolong is a semi oxidized tea. There are delicate notes of Ti Kuan Yin style flavor combined with superb flavor and a slight herbaceous green character.
