This tea has high bud sets and flat, tender, and very aromatic and distinct tasting profile. Farmers pickle, pan-fire and shape it as sword- like by using 10-step hand process from start to finish. The firing of the leaf is the step that requires the most finesse. Dragon Well Tea gives a light emerald liquor with a full, chestnut-like flavor or nutty aroma, and astounding scent.
  • The legend of its name comes from a story in the ancient China when the farmers of the Hangzhou region had been praying for rain. Shortly after praying, they actually found a dragon in a well, which was next to a tea garden. In addition, dragon is a symbol of good fortune and prosperity in Eastern traditions. This tea had been an exclusive tribute tea for royal families in ancient China for decades.
