• Keemun, from Qimen county in southern Anhui province in China, is the most famous black tea among the Chinese tea varieties. That area covers vast bamboo forests with the mild and humid climate and Keemun has been grown there since 1875. OP is an abbreviation of orange pekoe.  Due to its thick rich liquor with an orchid like fragrance, it has being widely chosen for blending into some flavored teas (e.g. English Breakfast Tea) and for making affordable ice teas. And also, this Keemun OP is a soft and mild tea with a marvelous Sinensis leaf. The cup color shines dark red and the bouquet is a perfect balance of spiciness and sweetness. The complex aromatic, great depth and penetrating character are often commented as the ‘Burgundy of Black Teas’.
• Keemun OP itself is a nice ruby red color when brewed and happily takes a dash of milk and sugar. The flavor is typically Keemun but another real gem of it is the smoothness. There’s absolutely no astringency in this tea and is somewhat reminiscent of a good Ceylon style tea.
