• It is one of the finest black teas from the Yunnan province of China.  It is among the most robust but refined black teas produced so far. During the Spring season, farmers hand-process this highly prized tea with careful plucking of only one leaf and one bud. Large leaves and an abundance of golden tips results in a delicious, smooth, deep and slight malty.  The dry leaf, comprising to tender young sprouts (‘Ya’ in Chinese), provides key hints about the tea itself. For better smell and taste, infusing it with high temperature is another key factor during its 5-minute brewing process. Golden Monkey Tea, a Yunnan tea, produces ‘golden’ liquor and is very nicely balanced with rich and spicy original characters. It is enjoyable to drink either hot or iced.
• There are two interesting legends about the name of this tea (relates to word monkey): one says those tea bushes grow in lofty and precipitous peaks making farmers difficult to pluck the leaves so local people trained monkeys to do so; another comes from the leaf unique appearance, which looks like monkey claws.
