  • China Keemun Tea are small, well crafted leaves with some tip. It is a stand-up self-drinker and a particularly fine example of a winery black tea with brilliant red liquor. Among Keemun tea series from Anhui, China, this tea has captured a deep rich concentrated flavor and its production time is during April harvest season of a year. It won many gold medals in the global tea competitions and has been honored as a Royal drink for many in England. This grade is an exceptionally high quality with rich tasting, earthy and warm.
  • The name of the tea is an older Western spelling of the name of the nearby town, QiMen (pronounced “Chee-mun”). The tea-growing region lies between the Yellow Mountains and the Yangtze River. The cultivar used for Keemun is the same as that used in production of Keemun Mao Feng. While the latter is an old, well-known variety and higher quality of black tea, Keemun was first produced around 1880 using techniques adapted from Fujian province farmers.
